Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner

Chefs are invited to participate in this year’s Taste of Dinner.

The Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty is going back to it’s roots and firmly planting itself at the Columbia County Fairgrounds this year. The Columbia County Fairgrounds is the perfect backdrop to help us spread the word about the importance of local foods and products.

Here’s how it works to participate in the “Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner”. We ask Bounty farmers to donate product. We are collecting that info now. Then, we let you know what is available, so you can decide what to prepare. We ask chefs to prepare 400 tastings. You may also need to buy some of your ingredients, buy we try to keep your costs low.

A stream of press releases as well as signs at the event let people know which farmers have contributed to make this event such a spectacular celebration of our local bounty, and we highlight the chefs, restaurants and caterers who have prepared the delicious servings.

What we need from you now, right now, is a commitment to prepare a dish or dishes for the event. Then, two weeks ahead, we need to know the name(s) of the dish(es) and the farmers you are working with—for our press releases and event signs, to maximize your exposure.

We will provide you with posters and rack cards to put in your restaurant and we can send you an e-mail announcement for you to send to your network.

If you are unable to come yourself we will staff your table and serve your dish and ensure that you are represented well. If you are able to be there, you can bring up to two additional people to help you set up and serve. We provide a table, cloth, plates & silverware. We will send you additional details soon.
