The Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner teams up with The Friends of the Farmer for the Hudson Valley Food Lovers Festival
On Saturday, July 30th, The Hudson Valley Bounty and The Friends of the Farmer are joining forces to bring you a full day affair, The Hudson Valley Food Lovers Festival. The Friends of the Farmer kicks off the event the Festival at 11:00am with a breakfast and a panel discussion. Enjoy a great breakfast of local oats, granola and yogurt as you listen to key speakers in the community and experts explain the locavore movement and its impact in the Hudson Valley. Bring your children along to experience Big Willy’s Rods Fishing Camp, Sack Races, and Moey’s Music Party. The whole family can choose delicious items from the specialty food village with samples, demos and products of the Hudson Valley available all day. And adults can partake in wine and cheese pairings, microbrew tasting and the Cocktail Clinic by NYC’s own Craxogy Mixologists.
At 5:00pm, be sure not miss The Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner, which showcases many great chef's of Columbia, Dutchess, Ulster and Orange Counties who prepare scrumptious dishes with locally grown food. Come and experience the magic that happens when fresh local food is put in the hands of these counties great chef’s.
“For the past 4 years we have held highly successful “Taste of Columbia County Bounty Dinner”,” said Kristin Roca, Program Director of the Hudson Valley Bounty. “This year we are excited to be able to showcase all of the counties in the Bounty program, with The Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner. To be able to also be part of The Hudson Valley Food Lovers Festival, creating an entire day dedicated to farms and the local food movement makes this all the more exciting this year. We felt the time was right to make what has always been a great evening event into a fantastic full day affair for the whole family.” says Roca. “Come just for the Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner, or come early and enjoy all the daytime activities of the Friends of Farmer event as well.
Tickets of The Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner will be $75.00 per person, children ages 7-12 $25.00 and Under 7 are $10.00. $10.00 of every adult ticket will be donated to the Friends of the Farmer Agricultural Scholarship.
Tickets for the Friends of the Farmer festival are $10 a ticket or $20 for families for admission. To enjoy the whole day, consider purchasing a An all access field pass for $150.00. This includes admission to the Friends of the Farmer, with $75.00 worth of tickets for kids tent, local libations, demos and tastings as well as a ticket to the Taste of Hudson Valley Bounty Dinner.
